1 year later
Whoa. It has been a year since my last post. Most of you may have given up on me. It may be a while before you check and see that I have actually blogged again. No excuses...I just don't get on the computer as much as I used to in school. I actually watch t.v. now!
Lots has happened since last Easter! We moved into a beautiful house and are still in the process of decorating and etc. We do not have a yard yet...just dirt and weeds but plan on getting it into shape this summer. Hallie is finishing up first grade. She recently just lost her front top tooth and looks extremely cute. I know that is hard to imagine. Bryce is the same sweet silly boy as always. He is always making us laugh and his sister scream. Scott has been coaching junior high boys and teaching math. He is such a good teacher and example for his kids and I'm so proud of him. I have been working in a pediatric office since August and love it. Most of the time we just enjoy our weekends together and entertain ourselves. Give us a ball, music, or paperclip and we are entertained for hours. Here are a lot of pictures. Most of them explain themselves. Hope you've missed me!

Transition
Okay. Quick update. We are going between L-town and A-town almost every week. I was going to live with my mom and dad so I could start working and bring in some money. This week however, I am sick and worthless. We have an offer on our house so we hope to be house hunting this week and we can move directly into it from our house! I will post pictures of Bryce's third birthday party and our vacation to Sea World when I get a chance.....to be continued!

WOW! It's been a while
I can't believe five months have gone by without anybody asking why I haven't blogged! Most of you probably know how hectic things have been lately! In the past five months a lot has happened. Hallie had a great Valentine's day party at her school. Her Aunt Dee Dee made her a Valentine dress that Hallie picked fabric out for. March was a lot a studying. I took my national written board the Tuesday after Spring Break so you can guess how fun spring break was. Scott took the kids to see the Dallas family crew while I studied day and night! The kids spent the last half of the week with my mom and dad. It was so nice to have a quiet house to study in but I missed my babies so much. April seemed to be just as busy with my school. It took me a while to find the perfect patient but I finally found her a week before my clinical board! I went to Wichita Falls and cleaned her teeth for two and a half hours! Now that my school is over I can't seem to do anything but sleep! I am so tired! I am happy to report that I have passed both boards and am waiting on my DENTAL HYGIENE LISENCE to come in!!! WHOOOOOO-HOOOOOO! My kids were SO happy when I told them I passed my big tests and I didn't have to study anymore! It feels so good to be done with school. Two years was a long time but worth it! May has been a little more relaxed. I found out my scores last week and graduated for the third time in my life! I have to clean my house everyday because we are trying to sell it and since I have nothing else to do, my OCD is starting to get pretty noticable again. I dust about twice a week and vacuum almost every day. Beds are perfectly made, etc. Please pray someone will buy our house! I can't wait to be near our friends and my parents again. Hopefully I can keep up with blogging again! Crazy summer here we come!

New Year
Happy New Year!! What a wonderful break it was to have Christmas and remember what life is all about! We had a great holiday break from school. I think I am the only one looking forward to finishing the semester. Hallie and Bryce stayed very busy. Hallie is SO SMART! She is reading like crazy! It is so fun to see her learn and be proud of herself. She is supposed to be able to read a level "C" by the end of kindergarten. She finished the semester on level "D." She is such a good, lighthearted child with the longest legs ever. Bryce is sure learning a lot too. He has learned how to get his way or charm his way into anything he wants. He is always into something and happy while doing it. He is in the process of potty training but wants it to be his idea and not told to go potty. When he has a "wedgie" aka underwear up the rear, he announces that he has a "Wee Wee." He has announced this in several public places which continues to embarrass me. Both kids have learned to play together so well lately. They would be so bored without each other. Last week they both were in the bathroom doing their business and noticed that when you spray air freshener, it makes a slick spot on the tile floor. They continued to drench the floor with air freshener til they had a desirable ice rink. It was apple cinnamon scent and I could taste the cinnamon when I walked in and caught them. This is just one of their many experiments over the break. You can't help but wish you were a kid again just so you could enjoy the fun too! Instead, I had to mop the bathroom!
Scott and I celebrated our SIXTH anniversary over Christmas break kinda... I was extremely sick with pink eye in both eyes and a severe sinus infection so I slept all day while he went hunting with my dad. He had a better day than I did. He ended up getting a seven point white tail which we are going to enjoy sausage from for a while. I feel better now and was just thankful that I was at my parent's house where I was babied and nurtured with food and sleep.
Hallie and Scott started school back while I went to a board review for school. I had lots of fun with my friends from school and even had a date night with Bobby and Carolyn one night. I learned a lot too! Now its time to get back to being busy. Everybody send up a few prayers for me in March and April for my two board exams! I appreciate each one!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful 2008!

Halloween
Scott and I at a Tech game. Fun date night with my mom and dad. My eye was scratched really bad and I had to wear my glasses with my cute gettup.
Hallie made her pumpkin "scary" and was so proud of her work!
Do you see a resemblance? He wanted a pumpkin with a round nose and one tooth. He just happened to smile like this. Thought it was too funny.

Halloween was so much fun with Ro (Barbie Island Princess) and Bob (the builder). Hallie wore make-up and acted every part of the princess for the fifth year in a row! Bob kept losing his hard hat so I tied it with a ribbon under his chin. lol! I couldn't find any elastic! We went around our neighborhood. Hallie rang each doorbell on her own this year and drug Bryce behind her. He would say "trick or treat" before they got to the door and "thank you" as he was walking off. We have another year to perfect his technique. We went up and down about three streets til we were tired and cold. I let the kids eat a couple of pieces before going to bed and we still have tons to get rid of when they are not looking. We are doing better here at the Davis house. This has been an extremely stressful semester for the whole family but we just take it day by day and pray a lot. I received an e-mail that was a daily devotional by Max Lucado and this is what is said:
You are my place of safety and protection. You are my God and I trust you. Psalm 91:2
Have bad things really happened to you? You and God may have different definitions for the word bad. Parents and children do. Look up the word bad in a middle-schooler's dictionary, and you'll read "pimple on nose" or "pop quiz in ge0metry." "Dad, this is really bad!" the youngster says, Dad having been around the block a time or two, thinks differently. Pimples pass....
What you and I might rate as an absolute disaster, God may rate as a pimple-level problem that will pass. He views your life the way you view a movie after you've read the book. When something bad happens, you feel the air sucked out of the theater. Everyone else gasps as the crisis on the screen. Not you. Why? You've read the book. You know how the good guy gets out of the tight spot. God views your life with the same confidence. He's not only read your story....he wrote it.
I have read this almost everyday and it help put things in perspective. What I consider stress and drama is just a pimple-phase that we look back at and are relieved to have learned from. Most of the time it is easier said than done but it helps to have people remind us on messages like this one.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. We miss all of our friends and family! We are thankful for each and every one of you!!
Hallie's birthday
My baby girl turned six on October 19th. Yes, I am just now posting about it. It was a good weekend. Bryce and I were sick as ever. He had pneumonia which was scary but we weathered through it and Hallie had a wonderful time with her family and friends. We partied at Mr. Daddy's (she still can't say Mr. Gatti's) and I had a fun time making her birthday cake as usual. When she told me she wanted a unicorn cake my heart sank but I found a fairly easy recipe and she loved it! She is so big and prissy! She is still just as skinny as ever and is one of the tallest kids in her class. She was hoping for a throne for her birthday but may be asking Santa for it. Who would have thought this princess wanted a throne!!! She got lots of Barbie Island Princess things and watches her new movie weekly. I can't believe how grown up she is getting. I love spending girl time with her but I sure do miss my baby bear!
