More pictures of Ro and Bob!

Halloween

Scott and I at a Tech game. Fun date night with my mom and dad. My eye was scratched really bad and I had to wear my glasses with my cute gettup.

Hallie made her pumpkin "scary" and was so proud of her work!
Do you see a resemblance? He wanted a pumpkin with a round nose and one tooth. He just happened to smile like this. Thought it was too funny.

Halloween was so much fun with Ro (Barbie Island Princess) and Bob (the builder). Hallie wore make-up and acted every part of the princess for the fifth year in a row! Bob kept losing his hard hat so I tied it with a ribbon under his chin. lol! I couldn't find any elastic! We went around our neighborhood. Hallie rang each doorbell on her own this year and drug Bryce behind her. He would say "trick or treat" before they got to the door and "thank you" as he was walking off. We have another year to perfect his technique. We went up and down about three streets til we were tired and cold. I let the kids eat a couple of pieces before going to bed and we still have tons to get rid of when they are not looking. We are doing better here at the Davis house. This has been an extremely stressful semester for the whole family but we just take it day by day and pray a lot. I received an e-mail that was a daily devotional by Max Lucado and this is what is said:
You are my place of safety and protection. You are my God and I trust you. Psalm 91:2
Have bad things really happened to you? You and God may have different definitions for the word bad. Parents and children do. Look up the word bad in a middle-schooler's dictionary, and you'll read "pimple on nose" or "pop quiz in ge0metry." "Dad, this is really bad!" the youngster says, Dad having been around the block a time or two, thinks differently. Pimples pass....
What you and I might rate as an absolute disaster, God may rate as a pimple-level problem that will pass. He views your life the way you view a movie after you've read the book. When something bad happens, you feel the air sucked out of the theater. Everyone else gasps as the crisis on the screen. Not you. Why? You've read the book. You know how the good guy gets out of the tight spot. God views your life with the same confidence. He's not only read your story....he wrote it.
I have read this almost everyday and it help put things in perspective. What I consider stress and drama is just a pimple-phase that we look back at and are relieved to have learned from. Most of the time it is easier said than done but it helps to have people remind us on messages like this one.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. We miss all of our friends and family! We are thankful for each and every one of you!!

Hallie's birthday

My baby girl turned six on October 19th. Yes, I am just now posting about it. It was a good weekend. Bryce and I were sick as ever. He had pneumonia which was scary but we weathered through it and Hallie had a wonderful time with her family and friends. We partied at Mr. Daddy's (she still can't say Mr. Gatti's) and I had a fun time making her birthday cake as usual. When she told me she wanted a unicorn cake my heart sank but I found a fairly easy recipe and she loved it! She is so big and prissy! She is still just as skinny as ever and is one of the tallest kids in her class. She was hoping for a throne for her birthday but may be asking Santa for it. Who would have thought this princess wanted a throne!!! She got lots of Barbie Island Princess things and watches her new movie weekly. I can't believe how grown up she is getting. I love spending girl time with her but I sure do miss my baby bear!
