Whoa. It has been a year since my last post. Most of you may have given up on me. It may be a while before you check and see that I have actually blogged again. No excuses...I just don't get on the computer as much as I used to in school. I actually watch t.v. now!

Lots has happened since last Easter! We moved into a beautiful house and are still in the process of decorating and etc. We do not have a yard yet...just dirt and weeds but plan on getting it into shape this summer. Hallie is finishing up first grade. She recently just lost her front top tooth and looks extremely cute. I know that is hard to imagine. Bryce is the same sweet silly boy as always. He is always making us laugh and his sister scream. Scott has been coaching junior high boys and teaching math. He is such a good teacher and example for his kids and I'm so proud of him. I have been working in a pediatric office since August and love it. Most of the time we just enjoy our weekends together and entertain ourselves. Give us a ball, music, or paperclip and we are entertained for hours. Here are a lot of pictures. Most of them explain themselves. Hope you've missed me!

Quick update. We are going between L-town and A-town almost every week. I was going to live with my mom and dad so I could start working and bring in some money. This week however, I am sick and worthless. We have an offer on our house so we hope to be house hunting this week and we can move directly into it from our house! I will post pictures of Bryce's third birthday party and our vacation to Sea World when I get a chance.....to be continued!mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-40271658602363383752008-05-14T09:22:00.001-07:002008-05-14T09:31:06.050-07:00Pictures of the last couple of months!
Hallie and Bryce on Valentine's Day!

Bryce dressed himself in a pajama top, gloves and accesories, cowboy boots, and "Lightming NaQueen" underwear!

Hallie had a VERY windy Easter hunt at school.

Brayden and Bryce being silly.
mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-64138421411556001862008-05-14T09:06:00.000-07:002008-05-14T09:22:13.712-07:00WOW! Most of you probably know how hectic things have been lately! In the past five months a lot has happened. Hallie had a great Valentine's day party at her school. Her Aunt Dee Dee made her a Valentine dress that Hallie picked fabric out for. March was a lot a studying. I took my national written board the Tuesday after Spring Break so you can guess how fun spring break was. Scott took the kids to see the Dallas family crew while I studied day and night! The kids spent the last half of the week with my mom and dad. It was so nice to have a quiet house to study in but I missed my babies so much. April seemed to be just as busy with my school. It took me a while to find the perfect patient but I finally found her a week before my clinical board! I went to Wichita Falls and cleaned her teeth for two and a half hours! Now that my school is over I can't seem to do anything but sleep! I am so tired! I am happy to report that I have passed both boards and am waiting on my DENTAL HYGIENE LISENCE to come in!!! WHOOOOOO-HOOOOOO! My kids were SO happy when I told them I passed my big tests and I didn't have to study anymore! It feels so good to be done with school. Two years was a long time but worth it! May has been a little more relaxed. I found out my scores last week and graduated for the third time in my life! I have to clean my house everyday because we are trying to sell it and since I have nothing else to do, my OCD is starting to get pretty noticable again. I dust about twice a week and vacuum almost every day. Beds are perfectly made, etc. Please pray someone will buy our house! I can't wait to be near our friends and my parents again. What a wonderful break it was to have Christmas and remember what life is all about! We had a great holiday break from school. I think I am the only one looking forward to finishing the semester. Hallie and Bryce stayed very busy. Hallie is SO SMART! She is reading like crazy! It is so fun to see her learn and be proud of herself. She is supposed to be able to read a level "C" by the end of kindergarten. She finished the semester on level "D." She is such a good, lighthearted child with the longest legs ever. Bryce is sure learning a lot too. He has learned how to get his way or charm his way into anything he wants. He is always into something and happy while doing it. He is in the process of potty training but wants it to be his idea and not told to go potty. When he has a "wedgie" aka underwear up the rear, he announces that he has a "Wee Wee." He has announced this in several public places which continues to embarrass me. Both kids have learned to play together so well lately. They would be so bored without each other. Last week they both were in the bathroom doing their business and noticed that when you spray air freshener, it makes a slick spot on the tile floor. They continued to drench the floor with air freshener til they had a desirable ice rink. It was apple cinnamon scent and I could taste the cinnamon when I walked in and caught them. This is just one of their many experiments over the break. You can't help but wish you were a kid again just so you could enjoy the fun too! Instead, I had to mop the bathroom!
Scott and I celebrated our SIXTH anniversary over Christmas break kinda... I was extremely sick with pink eye in both eyes and a severe sinus infection so I slept all day while he went hunting with my dad. He had a better day than I did. He ended up getting a seven point white tail which we are going to enjoy sausage from for a while. I feel better now and was just thankful that I was at my parent's house where I was babied and nurtured with food and sleep.
Hallie and Scott started school back while I went to a board review for school. I had lots of fun with my friends from school and even had a date night with Bobby and Carolyn one night. I learned a lot too! Now its time to get back to being busy. Everybody send up a few prayers for me in March and April for my two board exams! I appreciate each one!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful 2008!

mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-30990508960655233512007-11-18T20:46:00.001-08:002007-11-18T20:51:07.144-08:00more pictures

More pictures of Ro and Bob!
mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-46271936956599995442007-11-18T20:24:00.000-08:002007-11-18T20:46:39.654-08:00Halloween Scott and I at a Tech game. Hallie wore make-up and acted every part of the princess for the fifth year in a row! Bob kept losing his hard hat so I tied it with a ribbon under his chin. lol! I couldn't find any elastic! We went around our neighborhood. Hallie rang each doorbell on her own this year and drug Bryce behind her. He would say "trick or treat" before they got to the door and "thank you" as he was walking off. We have another year to perfect his technique. We went up and down about three streets til we were tired and cold. I let the kids eat a couple of pieces before going to bed and we still have tons to get rid of when they are not looking. We are doing better here at the Davis house. This has been an extremely stressful semester for the whole family but we just take it day by day and pray a lot. I received an e-mail that was a daily devotional by Max Lucado and this is what is said:

You are my place of safety and protection. You are my God and I trust you. Psalm 91:2

Have bad things really happened to you? You and God may have different definitions for the word bad. Parents and children do. Look up the word bad in a middle-schooler's dictionary, and you'll read "pimple on nose" or "pop quiz in ge0metry." "Dad, this is really bad!" the youngster says, Dad having been around the block a time or two, thinks differently. Pimples pass....

What you and I might rate as an absolute disaster, God may rate as a pimple-level problem that will pass. He views your life the way you view a movie after you've read the book. When something bad happens, you feel the air sucked out of the theater. Everyone else gasps as the crisis on the screen. Not you. Why? You've read the book. You know how the good guy gets out of the tight spot. God views your life with the same confidence. He's not only read your story....he wrote it.

I have read this almost everyday and it help put things in perspective. What I consider stress and drama is just a pimple-phase that we look back at and are relieved to have learned from. Yes, I am just now posting about it. It was a good weekend. Bryce and I were sick as ever. He had pneumonia which was scary but we weathered through it and Hallie had a wonderful time with her family and friends. We partied at Mr. Daddy's (she still can't say Mr. Gatti's) and I had a fun time making her birthday cake as usual. When she told me she wanted a unicorn cake my heart sank but I found a fairly easy recipe and she loved it! She is so big and prissy! She is still just as skinny as ever and is one of the tallest kids in her class. She was hoping for a throne for her birthday but may be asking Santa for it. Who would have thought this princess wanted a throne!!! She got lots of Barbie Island Princess things and watches her new movie weekly. I can't believe how grown up she is getting. I love spending girl time with her but I sure do miss my baby bear!
mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-2791218243812239162007-09-20T19:42:00.000-07:002007-09-20T20:31:17.254-07:00When it rains, it poursEver had one of those days, weeks, or even months where everything seems like a cascading events of misery? I am so extremely stressed that I am beside myself! I needed to vent so I decided to blog. You don't have to reply to my pity party I'm having for myself but I would appreciate the prayers.
School has been going okay. I have been very optimistic and excited about my busy year ahead of me. Everyone at school is anxious and nervous about all the deadlines, requirements, and debt we all seem to experience! I have tried really hard to be positive and encouraging to those around me. As you would assume, there is ALWAYS drama at school when you put 27 girls together everyday for two years. I bounce back pretty easy even when it all seems overwhelming. I have been studying really hard every night to try and stay on top of things. We have SO MUCH information to learn right now. In return, I feel like I am missing out with my kids and husband. I get home after 5:00 every day and immediately fix supper, clean up the house as much as possible, bathe kids, and put them to bed around 8:00 so I can study. Bryce has been sick the past week and throws up on a whim so I have done at least 3 loads of laundry EVERY night. NO EXAGGERATION! With all my spare time I have I have been scrubbing throw up off of myself, carpet, and car not to mention all the poop that follows the vomiting. I have changed sheets on my bed four times this week. Scott has had football games 3 out of the 4 nights this week so I have been managing things on my own. Each morning he is gone before we get up so I manage mornings by myself too. While Bryce has been sick and I have been cramming for my THREE exams next week, Hallie has been acting up. I don't blame her... its been the only one on one attention she has gotten!! Just when I think things are under control, Bryce throws up all over my car, and my bed AGAIN! I had the whole night planned of studying, finishing laundry, hanging up 2 weeks clean clothes, washing dishes, starting dishwashers, etc. and I just keep getting reality check after another. My shoulders are so tense I think I could pass as having tetanus! I know that God is going to take care of me and I know I am blessed in so many areas of my life but for some reason my brain keeps thinking I can handle everything all at once and my OCD thinks everything has to be done now and perfectly! I am also worried about Bryce. Since he was born, he has thrown up VERY easily and we once had extensive tests run to try and figure out why. Last Thurs. Fri, and Sat. he threw up all weekend. He definitely had a stomach bug but he has also thrown up Tues, Wed, and today from coughing, and being picked up! I think his body is so accustomed to throwing up that it is so easy for him to do so! Then again, I don't know. He hardly eats anything so I have been cramming liquid down his throat as much as possible. My poor baby... Hallie too. I feel SO bad for neglecting her! I totally get why people become alcoholics or drug abusers of sedatives!
I try not to stress but when things happen one right after another, it is hard to stay focused on good. I would like to stay home this weekend and get organized and relax but this is the only weekend for over a month that we have the chance to visit with Lubbockites. So if you see me in Lubbock this weekend, act like you are thrilled to see me even if your not because I am living on the edge of my sanity!
Whew! I feel a little better now. I'll hopefully post a happier blog soon.mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-59847909349301054392007-07-09T12:37:00.000-07:002007-07-09T13:32:04.811-07:00Summer update Hallie at dance camp. It was a horse party!!!!

Well hello to all! We have all been so busy this summer and I still have so many things I want to do that I don't know where to start! Organize photo albums, mending (yes, I said mending.. more of a chore than a want), tanning, playing with the kids, traveling, studying, etc. I have officially been out of school for one week now. I had summer clinic for the first six weeks of summer. It was fun since we didn't have to have tests or classwork. I get really nervous and anxious when I think about the fall semester. I already know one of my board test dates and that makes me want to throw up! I know, I'll survive.....I hope.

Anyways, we just had Bryce's SECOND birthday party. We had most our family make the trip to Amarillo and we were pleasantly surprised to have several friends from Lubbock come see us! He is so much fun and quite the charmer. I laugh everyday at the things he says. I used to understand him when he would say several words at a time. He now tends to say a paragraph and mixes all the words up. He is almost 3 feet tall! (Hallie was 3'1" at age 2) He constantly has scrapes and bruises all over his body and most the time a snotty nose too. On the day of his birthday he knew it was a special day so when he fell and scraped his arm he came inside and said, "I fell down on my birt-day!" He had everyone's sympathy. He is still into everything and sings all the time. Right now he is singing to the tune of "Where is Thumbkin" but the words are: "Where is my swimming pool, where is my swimming pool, I don't know, I don't know!" He really is a joyful child to be around.

Hallie is growing up! Her arms and legs tend to go on and on. She has learned to swim in our pool this summer and despite all the sunscreen I lather on her, she has quite the impressive tan! She still has her trademark curls and sass that she has always had. She always asks what she can do. I remember asking this when I was little and mom always had good ideas. I don't know that my ideas are as great. She loves to have her nails and toes painted and that is a ritual now since they don't stay on in the swimming pool very well. She is quite the challenge to keep entertained. I think she will truly enjoy kindergarten next year!!! That is another sob story in itself! She went to Princess Dance Camp for a week and learned two short dances and had LOTS of fun!

Scott has been working hard on our yard this summer. He has been able to golf several days since I have been out of school. He was a great Mr. mom while I went to school 8-5 everyday. He arranged play days for the kids, helped around the house, and even cooked supper once a week! I am very proud of all the work he does for his family.

We miss our friends and family VERY MUCH! We have enjoyed Amarillo but will be glad when this next year comes to an end....or new beginning.mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-40293024153999474512007-05-17T18:00:00.000-07:002007-05-17T18:46:01.687-07:00Busy, Busy, Busy

This has been my one week off between school and starting summer clinic. I have accomplished little and now that it is Thursday night, I am starting to wish I'd actually done something around here. I guess I have cooked, cleaned, and washed laundry but those don't count because I'm supposed to be doing all that anyway right? My sweet husband thinks that since it is my week off of school it is somehow his week off from helping me around the house....WRONG! I am anxious about finishing up the school year and starting my last two semesters. I've heard from all of my teachers and previous students that the semester I am about to endure is the toughest one of all. Thanks for the encouragement! (That was sarcastic). I am a little irritated that my school does not go out of their way to give me simple information. When I was applying for the ONE scholarship that I qualify for, the head of the scholarship department failed to mention that summer clinic is considered a class! I guess I was a blond in this area. I figured since I didn't go to class, it wasn't a class...WRONG. So I find out today that it is a class that I have to pay $2oo. (I have to pay to clean people's teeth....is there something wrong with that?) So I have to hope that I get this scholarship for the Fall. Last semester they ran out of funds....me too! I do not get any type of federal grants because I have a degree from LCU. Dumb huh?

So enough of my groaning. The good part of my week off was getting to see family for a short visit. Scott's sister, Carlee, and her boys (Brayden, Jessie, and Jamie), Papa Jess, Gammers Kathy, and Aunt Rose came to visit us. It was SO GOOD to see them! Carlee and I had the pleasure of learning how to bargain shop with Aunt Rose while the grandparents spoiled the kids. I found a pair of cute brown shoes for $2! We visited Kohls, Target, Catos, Fashion Bug, JCPennys, Beals, Dillards, and Shoe Carnival but were only allowed to look at items that were at least 75 % off! It was great fun! I can't wait to do it again! The kids have enjoyed not going to daycare everyday too! They will get to stay home with Scott during the summer. Please pray that he has LOTS and LOTS of patience! Bryce is in the middle of potty training and he is going to have to help with the house since I'll be "working" 9 to 5. I know he is more than capable and he'll actually probably do everything with ease which will just make me mad because I can't.

So anyways, Hallie and Bryce are keeping us all busy as usual. Hallie is princess of the house. She was actually VERY offended when Brayden suggested that Gammers Kathy was a princess and they were her guards. She said, "UGH! I'm the princess!" She is a VERY sweet and sometimes sassy little thing. She is still one of the tallest in her class and is skinny as ever. I went through her closet and forced myself to get rid of all of the 3T clothes that just now fit her waist. If her pants are not self adjustable, she has to wear smaller sizes (which are too short most of the time) or we have to use safety pins to hold them up. Bryce is falling closely in her footsteps. What baby fat he had, he is running off fast. I am not exaggerating about the running! He does NOT stop unless he is asleep. His clothes are starting to drop off his waist. (WHY CAN'T I HAVE THIS PROBLEM?) He is the most affectionate child ever! When it is bedtime, he likes to read a book and likes to "huggle" (a.k.a. snuggle). He does not quite understand how to put things away before playing with something else. He mostly likes to destroy then run. Scott often refers to him as "Tornado Bryce". He likes to sing "hi ho the dairy-o" then make up the last line. EXAMPLE: "HI HO the dairy-0, I'm gonna color brown" or "Hi Ho the dairy-o, I wanna eat some cheese." The possibilities are endless and so is the song. He makes me laugh a lot, and makes Hallie roll her eyes a lot.

Scott is doing good. He is looking forward to swimming this summer with the kids. He thinks he is going to teach the kids to play golf but I think he's crazy. How much do you want to bet that he takes naps with Bryce every day?

Well, time to get a little more busy before "work" starts next week. Here are some pictures of the kids. Love you all!

mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-7588240355460756852007-04-14T14:39:00.000-07:002007-04-14T15:00:40.779-07:00Easter weekend

Okay. So I am only a week behind schedule. Not too bad if you ask me. Easter weekend was good. My mom and dad got to come experience the Easter blizzard with us and help with the kids during my cousin's wedding. Hallie was the perfect flower girl (even though she forgot to drop the flowers) and Bryce was the cutest ring bearer ever. He made it down the aisle but not back. I'll have pictures of that to come. I am really sad that I didn't get cute Easter pictures of the kids dressed in their Sunday best. We were all tired from the weekend's events and didn't want to get out in the snow. Hallie woke up and put her Ariel costume on and Bryce still had his pajamas on when they noticed all the eggs hidden indoors. The first picture I attached was of them playing on one of our warm days. We are so excited about summer being here! The next picture is of Scott and Bryce being goofy boys. The third pic is Hallie opening an Easter surprise. The fourth pic is Bryce eating a chocolate egg. Once he discovered that some of the eggs had candy in them, he didn't want to find any more, just open the ones he had! The last picture is of the kids playing with balloons. I told them to smile for the camara so Hallie posed and Bryce said, "CHEEEEEEESE!" They are so funny sometimes. Well, that is about all the time I have for now. I'll update more later. I have finals coming up and am really busy studying so it may be a couple weeks or so.
mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-25634922842962428292007-03-23T17:39:00.000-07:002007-04-14T14:49:04.788-07:00Good weekWell, first week after spring break wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be. We were all tired and cranky but we survived! Spring break was good... Carlee came to visit and we got to love on her and all her boys. They are 4 months old and only one of them is as big as Bryce was when he was born! Speaking of Bryce, he seems to be flying past each growth stage before I can be amazed with the last. He is talking like crazy. You can pretty much have any type of conversation with him and both parties are satisfied in the end. For some reason he still does not understand the meaning of "no." He is not choking as often as he used to but he still does not know that his teeth function for chewing. He does LOVE to brush his teeth (or eat the toothpaste) but I'm going to pretend he is following in my footsteps.
Hallie is growing and changing as well, she is such a fun, excited, loving child (until Bryce is into her stuff). She loves to stay busy! She is still as skinny as she was 2 years ago but tall as ever! She has her "Big Girl Attitude" which requires adjustments every week but she is pretty quick to say "yes, mam" and be good. I do not get to spoil her as much as I used to so we both cherish our time together.
Scott is doing good. He is busy as usual and counting down the days til school is out.
I am doing good too and will get into more detail later. The children's bedtime is calling and I am needed so I will update more later!mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-69040333441779278782007-03-05T13:47:00.000-08:002007-03-05T14:10:16.503-08:00Dental check-up

Long time no blog. I've been quite busy and was reminded that I actually have friends that want to be updated!

As you can tell by the pictures, Hallie has been initiated into my world. She had her first dental appointment last week and did great!! I was so proud of her. She even sat still through a series of x-rays. Her teeth were clean and shiny and she smiled at everyone on the way home. Her permanent teeth are quite crowded looking so I am hoping that when her jaw grows, some of them will straighten out a little. If not, she may need braces like her mother did! I have enjoyed school so much and cleaning teeth has been a whole new learning experience. Every patient is different and influences me. Hopefully I have some impact on them as well!

The picture of Bryce was taken after school one afternoon. I think he was having a great time with ranch. It is kinda hard to tell. He is constantly busy and keeping me going. I have started to catch him talking to himself and playing "out loud" with his toys (pretending). He is learning how to be dramatic like Hallie, like mother. He was forced to spend quality time with his father after I caught him trying to put a pantie liner on.

Hallie had grown up so much and becoming such a lady. She rarely surprises me. This past weekend she informed Scott that she knew why God gave us fingers. "To pick out eye boogers! And to pick up things." How right she is!

We are doing good but we miss our friends terribly!!!

Hope everyone else is doing good. I love you all!

I'll leave you with a little dental wisdom: Do NOT let your children drink after you or anybody else especially if they have cavities. Cavities are formed when certain bacteria are present in the mouth. I guess you could say that they are contagious! If the child takes that bacteria into their mouth and has the right pH and sugary environment, the child is more prone to cavities! I know that impresses all of you as much as it did me.
mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-1170018693451042152007-01-28T12:43:00.000-08:002007-01-28T13:11:33.466-08:00Update 101

Okay, I apologize to everyone who reads my blog. I do feel better now knowing that more than one person reads whats going on in our life. So many of you told me that you enjoy hearing from us so I will continue to update as I can. If you do want to be my "friend" on myspace, my page is http://www.myspace.com/137693453 I think...

Anyway, school has started again and I am already exhausted. Right now I feel like I'm in a tunnel because I have a head cold. I caught it from Bryce. He was sick last week and missed a couple of days of school. I took him to the doctor and they sent him home saying that he was just congested. That night he ran high fever and continued with the fever for 2-3 days so the doctors wanted to see him again and figured he had a virus. Long story short... he coughs a lot and doesn't sleep unless he is on my pillow! Hence is where I caught the cold!

I have also been under a little stress as well. The kids' daycare is shutting down and gave me a whole weeks notice! After calling TEN daycares that are all full, I placed my children on waiting lists and finally found one open that will take both kids next Monday. I have all the anxiety and sadness of placing them in daycare all over again! It is a little more expensive and further away but seems more organized than the current one. I like flexibility when it comes to keeping my kids happy but I am also glad to hear that they keep strict rules and regulations. I hope to take the kids by this week and let them see their new rooms and teachers. Please pray that they adjust well and have loving teachers that will be good "substitute mothers" for the day.

My school is going okay so far. Like I mentioned in my previous blog, I really need patients for my first couple of weeks starting on Feb. 15th. I think I gave the wrong date last time. If I don't have family or friends come, then I will see strangers which may not be such a bad thing.

Scott's school is good. His basketball team is playing hard. They are very unexperienced but good kids. I am so glad that he has a job he enjoys so that he can support his family. He works so hard for us.

My mom came and visited this weekend and gave us the much needed love and recuperation that we all needed. She treated us to restaurants all weekend. No cooking, cleaning dishes, or leftovers! We hardly ever eat out so it was great! The kids were SO HAPPY to see her and I think it did her good to see us as well. We rented movies last night. Scott watched a scary one so us girls watched "The Devil Wears Prada." It was great but staying up until one talking was even better.

I hope everyone has a great week. Love you all. Thanks for reading!
mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-1169400101905964282007-01-21T09:11:00.000-08:002007-01-21T09:21:41.930-08:00Teeth cleaned?Hello to everybody. I am getting ready to boot the blog. I have started a myspace page and it is so much more fun. I have fun doing this too but I feel like the only person who ever reads it is Lisa. Thanks Lisa! I may update every once in a while....we'll see. Anyway, if there is anybody reading this, I have a favor to ask.... DO YOU WANT YOUR TEETH CLEANED? I start cleaning teeth in February and need some guinnea pigs to sit in my chair for a couple of hours while I try to be professional. I only clean on Thursdays right now so you would have to take off work or find a babysitter for the day. If you do me the favor of coming to Amarillo to do this I will be forever grateful. The first couple of weeks are free... including x-rays, sealants, whatever. After that, it will be around $25 I think. You are more than welcome to come stay with us for the weekend!!! I can even put sealants in kids teeth! Let me know if anybody is interested. If you have to bring the whole family....that would be great too. I have a WONDERFUL babysitter that can watch kids for us. Lisa, if you are the only one that reads this, will you spread the word around for me?mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-1167925193859135532007-01-04T07:07:00.000-08:002007-01-04T07:39:53.876-08:00Three great relationshipsChristmas is such a busy time of travel and gift buying that it is so easy to overlook the true meaning of Christmas. I am so glad that I have a relationship with God that is the basis of everything I do. I am not sure why God decided to give me the parents he did but I was raised to know Him because of them. I am not sure why He gave me the husband and children I have but I am blessed because He did. Most of all I do not know why he gave his son's life for mine but I am saved because He did. May we all hold each other accountable for our actions and lift each other up to better serve Him this New Year.

Another relationship I am so grateful of is the one I have with my husband. Scott and I celebrated our 5th anniversary this Holiday season. What a wonderful five years its been. He is such a great husband and father to my children. I love everything about him and he helps me be a better wife and mother. He can always make me smile. He thinks I'm pretty and smart. He loves me for who I am and he supports me in every way possible. I could go on and on about him but I'll save that for some other day. I look forward to the rest of my life with him.

Last but not least, I am grateful for the relationship I had with my grandmother, Broxie. (Pronounced Brooksie) I had the priveledge of knowing her sweet Christian side while I grew up. She was quite ornery and spunky at times too. She had a love for the Lord and her family. She has been sick the past couple of years and was staying at a nursing home in Lubbock. My kids and I would visit her a couple days a week and we all enjoyed our time together. She would make crafts for Hallie and she would be amazed at the new "tricks" Bryce would do each new day. She would talk about the way she raised her children and tell me all kinds of stories about my mother when she was little. Her big brown eyes would sparkle and you could tell that she was so proud of her family. She went to meet her maker last night. I am extremely sad to have her be gone but I am so glad that I know where she went. I am glad she does not have to suffer any more. I am most proud of the woman she was. By her example, she taught my mother how to be a wonderful mother, wife, and friend and now that has been passed on to me. I am grateful of her love and devotion to Christ. I hope I can carry on her teachings to my children and so on. Because of her, I am the way I am today. I love you Boopie. See you again one day. mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-1167923224145002082007-01-04T06:21:00.000-08:002007-01-04T07:07:04.246-08:00Wonderful Holiday
We had such a great holiday. My kids are so incredibly spoiled. I requested that they received clothes for gifts since they only had a few that fit their long bodies...but what kid can't get a toy from every set of grandparents they have? (They are blessed with three great sets of grandparents) So yesterday I found myself cleaning out their rooms so I could fit the new stuff in. What a blessing! I am so glad that my kids are provided for. Scott and I struggle very often with making ends meet. Sometimes we make it and a lot of times we don't but our kids don't have a clue. We have such a great family and support system that keeps them feeling rich with love ...and toys.

I started the holiday by visiting Scott's sister, Carlee and her twin additions to the family. They are such sweet babies. I tried to post pictures of them but my computer is not downloading them. You can see them on my myspace page if you have a myspace account. I think I got my baby fix for now. Their names are Jamie and Jessie. They don't look anything alike. Jessie is the one with the round face and kissable cheeks. He is the cutest grunter ever. Anytime you or he moves any part of his body, he groans like an old man. I giggled listening to him. It is really a cute trait. Jamie is the one with the longer face and slanted eyes. He slept more than Jessie and tends to be very calm until you feed him then he is likely to explode all over you. I had to fight Hallie to hold them. She loved her new cousins. Bryce liked them too. He would say, "I wanna hode it." and "Hi Baby" in a really high voice. He was more interested in what Brayden was doing or even more so what the dog and cat were doing. Scott joined us in Dallas and we were able to visit his mom, step dad, brother and his family. His brother just recently had a little girl. She is in NICU because she was too early. She was so tiny and precious. We are praying hard that she continues to grow strong and develops as she should. After that we went back to Witchita Falls area to be with his dad and step mom. We had a wonderful stay and returned home to unpack, repack, reload and go to Lubbock to have Christmas with my side of the family. Our break did not seem nearly long enough. Scott had to go back to school today and it is very gloomy around here without him. I have two more weeks til I have to go back.

I have to say that I am proud to have all my Christmas stuff up and the house clean. It is fading fast but I don't care. I have the project of making curtains for my living room. I tried to get started sewing but my machine and I kept disagreeing. I can't seem to figure out why it won't work but I can guarantee you that it can make me mad faster than anything else I own. Scott walked in the kitchen and said.... "I think I'll leave you alone for now." I think it is time to call in reinforcement. I promise I will win and I will hang them by their necks over my windows!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. May God bless each and every one of you and show you his will.mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-1165805057387058262006-12-10T18:28:00.000-08:002006-12-10T19:43:37.420-08:00Busy Weekend
A lot has happened in one week! I am done with my first semester. The thought of being able to relax is very comforting but I am pretty sure it is just a thought. Hallie and I finished the week off by making reindeer cookies! She rolled out the dough, flattened them, added the decorations and I baked them! She is quite the little chef. She made enough to share with her classmates at school as well as enough for Bryce's class. We had lots of fun and they were a big hit! They were not sad to finish their last day of daycare until January. Hallie said she didn't even mind missing her Christmas party. We were all a little school burnt out. While they were at school I decided to spend what little money I have to get my hair done. I went to a salon school and got it highlighted. It took FOUR and a half hours to foil my hair. I had so much foil in my hair that I could barely hold my head up! They put high lights and low lights on every other strand of hair without leaving any natural hair! Time ran up and they did not have time to cut it so I had to come back Saturday morning since I had already paid for it. Bravely I went back and they did an okay job. I feel a little striped sometimes but it is better than having roots. Since it took so long, I missed taking pictures of Hallie and her class. She was one of the last kids to be picked up...which she hates. On to Saturday night, we received an urgent call from Scott's family. His brother's wife went into premature labor. They now have a "little" girl named Traeh weighing in at 1 lb. 15 oz. Thank the Lord that everyone is okay. My sister in law was only 24 weeks pregnant. We are so glad everyone is okay. God was watching over them. On to Sunday...we visited a new church. It was nice but small. It is hard going from twenty babies or more in an early assembly to being the only ones with kids in a service. My kids are good but are REALLY loud when they are the only ones being kids. Bryce sang loud with the congregation and without the congregation. Hallie blew her nose loud enough and exclaimed she still had boogers! At home, Bryce's afternoon nap was so short that Hallie and I barely had time to paint our toenails. The weather was beautiful so we all went outside and played. Scott and I finished cleaning out the garage. I can actually park in the garage now! Bryce tracked doggie doo into the clean garage and I then tracked it into the house. He had mud (I hope it was mud) all over his face and clothes and so we came inside. Bryce and Hallie had their second bath for the day. I went to Walmart to get food...we literally had nothing but a can of beans to eat. When I made it back home of dodging the weekend shoppers, I walked in the door to hear screaming. Scott is frantically looking for the medicine dropper. I said, "I bought Beaudreaux's Butt Paste" if Bryce's diaper rash is still bad." I then see the reason for the chaos. Bryce and Scott were dancing together and obviously Bryce has learned his dance moves from his father because he lost balance and hit the corner of the entertainment center with his eyebrow. He was screaming "Owweee!" This continued for quite some time and only subsided when we popped Barney into the VCR. Of coarse, I had Christmas pictures planned for tomorrow but they will just have to wait. (I included the pitiful picture of Bryce watching Barney on the couch.) I finally unloaded groceries and made supper...breakfast actually and now am sitting down now that the kids are asleep. Have I mentioned that I do not have to go to school in the morning!!!! I should probably go to bed at a decent hour just because I have both of my kids at home tomorrow. I know this week will be just as crazy. The kids and I are traveling "home" to visit my parents and then are traveling to see Scott's sister whom just had preemie twins! Christmas is after that and I may not blog for a while....we'll see. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-1164909438833285152006-11-30T09:31:00.000-08:002006-11-30T09:57:18.896-08:00Snow fun!

Well, Thanksgiving was great. We had a wonderful family meal at my aunt's house and it was perfect. I hope it is a long time before I have to be in charge of the entire Thanksgiving meal! Hallie and Bryce loved their week with Nonna and Papa but were so glad to get home and play with all their toys. I had the house so clean and it was demolished in about ten minutes. I sat in the floor and acted like I was crying and saying, "Oh my house was so clean and nice now look at it!" Bryce came up to me and laid his head on my shoulder and said, " I'm sorry, mamma." I did not care from that moment on. I was so glad to see my babies that the old mess was welcomed. It was tough to go back to school after the nice break but we survived PLUS we didn't have to go to school today!!!! All of our schools were cancelled! I was the most grateful because I was not ready for a test that was scheduled! We received around 6-9 inches of snow but the drifts are easily three feet deep! Last year all we had were snow flurries so this was the first time for Bryce to play in snow. He loved it but got cold fast. He cried when Hallie threw a snow ball at him and it was all over after that. Scott had just as much fun as the kids. Copper, our dog went nuts running all over the yard. What a wonderful winter surprise! The picture of Bryce was as soon as we went outside so he is amazed and happy. Look closely at his ensemble. Blue windpants (over corduroy jeans), wind jacket, his mother's pink gloves, and a brown hat! Poor kid, who dressed him? Scott was in charge of dressing Hallie. She matches a little but has about twenty items of clothing on so she looks like she has a little body fat! She fell as she was climbing on a kiddy picnic table so she looks like Santa Clause! I laughed and started singing "Santa Baby." We had so much fun and it is so nice to be home as a family and not have to worry about anything! I think I feel a nap coming on. Hope everybody else had a little fun in the snow too!mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-1164034499813421862006-11-20T06:38:00.000-08:002006-11-20T06:54:59.833-08:00Free at lastIt is Thanksgiving week and my mom took the kids for the week! WOW! Scott and I still have school Mon. and Tues. but it will be so good to get stuff done! It has only been 12 hours since I have seen them but I already miss them. My life revolves around them as well it should. I'm not sure where to start or what to do without Bryce hanging on my leg and Hallie's little questions in my ear. I am so blessed to have such good kids...most of the time. Mom however may need the prayers this week. I don't know if she realizes what she signed up for. The only other time she has kept both at one time was Labor Day weekend. This time is longer and Bryce is into more stuff. Wish I had a web cam to watch and laugh at all the chaos. I have NO worries about Hallie. She is the best kid ever. She almost always obeys, uses her manners, and does what you want her to. (with the exception of what she wants to wear) Bryce on the other hand, does nothing you want him to, has few manners, and says "no" to everything. Example: "Bryce do you want a bite of food?" His reply, "no" as he opens his mouth. He can charm his way into many things. He has learned that saying "PWEASE" gets him almost everything. It is so cute and he refused to do it for so long that we love to hear him say it. Also, he told me "Wub ooh" (I love you) for the first time yesterday before I left. I had tears in my eyes. The boy knows how to wrap me around his little finger....kinda like his daddy.
Anyway, I am going to miss the little ones for a few days. I hope they don't wear my mom and dad out too bad. I'm sure I'll have stories for everyone soon.mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-1163049598715516352006-11-08T20:54:00.000-08:002006-11-08T21:19:58.726-08:00Awake past 10:30
What am I still doing awake....oh yeah, I am supposed to be studying. Of coarse I waited last minute to start studying for this test in the morning, partly because I was studying for three other exams! I am a little wired from the decongestant pills I took earlier and I just finished my 12 page "study guide" I typed up. When is Thanksgiving break? I told Scott he needed to take off work to be my first patient and he raised his eyebrows and asked if I could practice on the dog. What confidence he has in me! I am loving school. My classmates are very controversial at times but what do you expect from 28 women confined in one room everyday together. Most of them are under the age of 20 and I have found them to be quite reviving. I have forgotten what it is like to be young and fun. I feel so old (although I am very young) with two kids and married to an old man...just kidding. It feels good to act like a 25 year old and not an old married woman who has no life. I haven't changed my lifestyle just my perception. I even bought a cute trendy vest the other day to show off my figure! (well, actually my mom bought it but that doesn't matter) What was it like to be skinny, single, and carefree? I do have to admit that I would rather be an old married mom than a single girl. I have such comfort and love with my family but I still want to feel young and attractive even if I have spit-up on my shirt and poop on my jeans. Yes, poop... it has happened frequently recently (Bryce's or the dogs for those who need clarity)
Anyway, my point is that it is good to be around these sweet girls...if we don't kill each other first.mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-1162512138231525482006-11-02T15:52:00.000-08:002006-11-02T16:02:18.233-08:00Happy Halloween

Just posting a couple of Halloween pictures. It has been between 30 and 40 degrees at night lately so we bundled up before going out. Hallie was very polite and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. Bryce caught on fast and LOVED the candy afterward. He'd say "TREAT!" at each house. I guess "trick or treat" was too complicated. It was so fun to all go out. Hallie was the little mermaid and Bryce was Superman incase you couldn't tell. Hope everybody had a good Halloween. I put the picture of Bryce crying because I think its funny. I promise we didn't torture him....unless you consider making him wear his sister's hat is torture.mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30222169.post-1162511499825088422006-11-02T15:34:00.000-08:002006-11-02T15:51:39.840-08:00Happy Birthday Hallie

Happy (Late) Birthday Hallie! This is a little late but we've been busy with parties, travelling, and Halloween. Hallie had a great birthday. She is the big five now. We had a little family get together at Mr. Daddy's (Gatti's). We had our own party room and it opened right up into the game room. It was great! Most importantly.....I made her cake!!! I'm SO proud. Didn't I do good? It was so much fun to figure out. Barbie's legs were too long so they go the chop but other than that it was easy. Hallie mostly got Barbie or Ariel Little Mermaid stuff. She was so excited and was quite the guest of honor. She thoroughly enjoyed her cousin Brayden and Bryce soaked up all the grandparents. No matter how old she gets, she'll always be my little girl.mammadavishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11526228871151827884noreply@blogger.com0
